Food and Beverage Manager

Introduction:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team and oversee the operation of our hotel's kitchen. The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for overseeing the breakfast staff, ensuring food is prepared to the highest standards, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage breakfast staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling

• Ensure that food is prepared to the highest standards, including adhering to food safety guidelines and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen

• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed

• Monitor food and labor costs to ensure profitability

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including adhering to cleaning schedules and safety protocols

• Other duties as assigned

Certifications:  ServSafe Certificate

Qualifications:

·       Minimum of 1 year of experience as a kitchen manager or in a similar leadership role

·       Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate people

·       Proficiency with kitchen equipment and food safety guidelines

·       Knowledge of inventory management and cost control

·       Knowledge of food preparation and presentation

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·       Hands-on supervisor, well organized, and detail-oriented

·       Skilled in problem-solving and staff training

·       Ability to multitask, handle multiple duties, and handle a high-volume workload

·       Ability to act independently with little supervision.

·       Requires the ability to operate various office equipment, including a computer, word processing, spreadsheets, voice mail, copier, fax, and calculator

·       Requires a good understanding of company policies and procedures.

·       Ability to handle stressful situations

·       Good attendance and punctual.
