• Maintain organization of books and other materials in Folklife Center library
• Archive physical items and assist with digital archives
• Help to organize and set up exhibits
• Serve as a docent; give tours and provide general information
• Assist in planning and hosting events
• Work independently on special projects like social media campaigns, graphic design, folklife research, and other creative projects.
• General office support: take community telephone calls, photocopying, filing, etc.
• Help weed, plant, and maintain the garden

Minimum Qualifications

• Organized
• Possess strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with the public
• Good writing and word processing skills
• Able to work independently on assigned tasks

Notes to Applicant

Students will need to be available to work during office hours (Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) and have the flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends to support events hosted at the Folklife Center.
