Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized, and hospitality-driven General Manager to oversee all front-of-house operations. Wine knowledge and passion is a must! This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable wearing many hats—from guest service to business operations.
This position is responsible for all non-kitchen operations, ensuring seamless daily execution while helping drive revenue, customer retention, and overall guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House Operations
- Lead and manage all day-to-day front-of-house operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service and set the tone for hospitality standards
- Open and close the business as needed
Staff Management
- Hire, train, and manage front-of-house staff
- Create and maintain staff schedules
- Foster a positive, accountable team culture
Inventory & Purchasing
- Manage inventory for wine, retail items, and front-of-house supplies
- Place and track orders, maintain proper stock levels
- Assist with merchandising and product presentation
Financial Responsibilities
- Handle cash management, including nightly reconciliation and bank deposits
- Monitor costs and identify opportunities to improve margins
Event Management
- Coordinate and promote relevant wine related events including wine tastings, parmesan cheese wheel cracking, pre fixe meal holiday events, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar restaurant, bar, or hospitality management role
- Wine experience required
- Strong general wine knowledge and passion for hospitality
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with POS systems, scheduling, and inventory tools
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
