Job Summary
The Gastroenterologist is a board-certified physician specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases affecting the digestive system. This role provides comprehensive care for disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system, including the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- - Diagnose and treat disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system
- - Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy
- - Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and pathology reports
- - Develop individualized treatment plans and provide preventive care
- - Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists
- - Maintainaccurate and timely medical documentation
- - Adhere to clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- - MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- - Completion of an Internal Medicine residency
- - Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
- - Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology
- - Active medical license or eligibility for licensure
