Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Floral Designer to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about floral design, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality work consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and create floral arrangements for daily orders, holidays, sympathy work, and special occasions
- Execute designs with attention to detail, color, and overall aesthetic
- Maintain quality standards and ensure product consistency
- Assist with processing flowers (hydration, cleaning, prep) and maintaining inventory
- Support shop operations including cleanliness, organization, and workflow efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines
Qualifications
- Prior floral design experience required (retail florist experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of floral design principles, mechanics, and techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment (especially around holidays)
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
Preferred (Not Required)
- Event or wedding floral design experience
- Experience with floral POS systems (e.g., Teleflora, Dove)
- Ability to assist with event prep, installs, or breakdowns
