Position: Flooring Sales Consultant
Location: Lakeway, TX | Full-Time
We are a vibrant, successful, and privately-owned flooring business located in beautiful Lakeway, TX. With an increase in demand for our services, we’re looking for a driven, energetic Flooring Sales Consultant with a hunter mentality to join our growing team.
This isn’t a sit-back-and-wait kind of role. We need someone who thrives on building relationships, chasing opportunities, and closing deals. You’ll spend 50% of your time in our showroom working directly with customers and 50% in the field actively networking with builders, designers, realtors, and property managers. If you’re a go-getter who loves design and knows how to hustle, we want to hear from you.
What We Expect from You
- Own the showroom — service customers, provide design expertise, and drive sales support for outside associates
- Hit the pavement — proactively network with builders, property managers, designers, remodelers, and real estate agents to generate new business
- Be the product expert — provide knowledgeable design advice that helps clients make confident decisions
- Handle the details — create estimates, purchase orders, work orders, and invoices with accuracy
- Communicate relentlessly — follow up with customers to ensure every project runs smoothly from sale through installation
- Get in front of clients — conduct in-home presentations, consultations, and estimates
- Stay sharp — keep up with new products, design trends, and competitive offerings
- Create buzz — plan and coordinate quarterly showroom events (with management approval) to attract new business
- Be computer proficient — we use Measure Square and our own Qube software (we’ll train you)
- Ideal candidate will have trusted estimating skills and flooring knowledge to bring to the table.
Who You Are
- A natural relationship builder with a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm
- Excellent communicator — both written and verbal
- Interior design background (degree, design school, or equivalent experience)
- Organized, disciplined, and skilled at managing your own time
- Self-motivated and ambitious — you don’t wait to be told what to do
- Floor covering knowledge is a plus (carpet, tile, laminate, wood)
- Computer proficient — we use proprietary software and will train you
Compensation & Benefits
- Weekly pay plus monthly commission on all sales — your hustle directly impacts your earnings
- PTO — up to 2 weeks per year (1 week every 6 months)
- Gas allowance
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Saturday by appointment only; closed Sundays
