A Floor Technician plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff in our facility! By maintaining floors through cleaning, polishing, and preventive care, they help reduce slip-and-fall risks and support the overall health and well-being of residents. In This Role You Will:

  • Maintains all floor surfaces, vinyl floor covering, carpeting, ceramic and quart tile, and concrete in the community to include, but not limited to, resident units, corridors, common areas, and storage areas.
  • Cleans floor surfaces in office, hallways, common areas, and other areas.
  • Move furniture before and after cleaning.
  • Cleans, dusts, mops, strips, and waxes floors. Must be knowledgeable of manufacturers instructions and practices proper methods of: stripping applying, scrubbing, and generally maintain floor finish; dust mopping, wet/dry vacuuming/ wet mopping; buffing; carpet cleaning
  • Operates chemical dispensing units and uses chemicals properly, including in the appropriate quantity, and in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. Uses personal protective equipment and gear as appropriate.
  • Labels chemicals and obtains material safety data sheets, as requested.
  • Keeps inventory of floor areas, and schedules routine cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Must be able to complete the following duties: cleaning windows; moving furniture/appliances; hanging drapes; unloading and stocking supplies; trash removal; mattress care and upkeep; and dusting.
  • Maintains proper operation, cleaning, storage, and adjustment of floor care equipment, Reports all malfunctions and breakdowns in equipment to the supervisor.
  • Promptly reports equipment malfunctions, floor damage, and other issues to the supervisor.

Shift Details:

  • Fulltime Day shift 8:00a -4:00p, Monday -Friday, NO weekends or holidays!

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior experience working in a professional janitorial position.
  • Floor care certification and/or five (5) years of prior floor care experience, preferred.
