  1. Preplan area to be thoroughy stripped and waxed with nursing staff at least 48 hours prior to performing duties.
  2. Vacuum and shampoo carpet areas.
  3. Clean windows and window seals, inside and out.
  4. Clean or dust drapes/curtains/blinds by removing from tracking and placing in washer and dryer.
  5. Assure work areas are clean and equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored at all times, including for breaks, meal times, and at the end of a shift.
  6. Perform terminal/discharge cleaning as instructed.
  7. Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
  8. Buff floors.
  9. Assist in lifting heavy equipment.
  10. Scrub baseboards, doorways, under beds, etc.
  11. Strip and re-wax floors as needed.
  12. Performs all other duties as directed.

 

Job Qualifications

 

  1. Education/Training
    1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  2. Experience
    1. One year preferred in floor care.
  3. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1. Ability to follow instructions.
    2. Ability to communicate in english
    3. Ability to maintain work records.
    4. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    5. Able to work weekends, holidays and extended shifts.
