The Floor Manager is accountable for real-time execution of residential operations, including staffing, supervision, scheduling, and immediate incident response. This role ensures that each shift runs safely, smoothly, and in alignment with program expectations.
The Floor Manager is the first line of accountability for everything that happens on shift.
Core Responsibilities
1. Shift Operations & Execution
Manage all day-to-day operations within assigned homes
Ensure routines, structure, and expectations are followed each shift
Maintain active floor presence and real-time problem-solving
2. Staffing & Scheduling
Create and manage staff schedules
Ensure coverage, ratios, and shift assignments
Manage call-outs, overtime, and shift adjustments
Approve and verify timesheets
3. Supervision of Residential Assistants
Directly supervise Residential Assistants
Provide coaching, guidance, and immediate feedback
Address performance concerns and document issues
4. Incident Response
Respond to all incidents during shifts
Ensure safety, de-escalation, and protocol adherence
Complete timely and accurate incident reports
5. Compliance Execution
Ensure logs, documentation, and supervision requirements are met
Maintain compliance with daily operational standards
6. Transportation Coordination
Coordinate all youth transportation (school, court, medical, etc.)
