About the Role

As a Floor Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our production process by ensuring machinery is stocked with raw materials, maintaining a safe workspace, and assisting with quality checks. Under direct supervision, you'll help keep the production line efficient and safe, contributing to the creation of high-quality parts.

What You'll Do

  • Safely grind scrap material to keep the workspace clean.
  • Empty grinders to maintain continuous production flow.
  • Properly place finished goods on designated pallets for shipping.
  • Prepare cartons for packaging during your shift.
  • Monitor and maintain proper color levels needed for machinery operation.
  • Relieve inspectors and packers during breaks, providing support as needed.
  • Perform visual inspections of packed parts and report any defects to Quality Assurance.
  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in training new team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in your designated work area.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 6 months of experience as an Inspector/Packer or in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the plastics industry.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English efficiently.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and quality checks.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • A team player with a cooperative attitude and respect for others.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to safety and efficiency improvements.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.

Physical & Working Conditions:

  • Ability to perform constant physical exertion including standing, walking, climbing, and reaching.
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Exposure to noise, temperature changes, and environmental hazards-safety gear provided.
  • Use of company-issued PPE such as eye protection, hearing protectors, and back supports is required.
  • Loose clothing and jewelry are not permitted; uniforms are mandatory.
