Full-Time / Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | Up to 40 Hours/Week

In this unique role, you’ll be part of a small, supportive team that works across 3 nearby preschool locations, helping classrooms run smoothly wherever you’re needed most. One day you might be in Kailua, the next in Kneohe—bringing your positive energy and care to different groups of keiki.

What This Role Looks Like

  • Work approximately 20–40 hours per week based on program needs

  • Rotate between 3 preschools in the Windward area (Kailua & Kneohe)

  • Support classrooms with daily routines, activities, and supervision

  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children

  • Build relationships with different teams and age groups

At Kamaina Kids, many of our teachers and leaders started as aides. We provide:

  • Paid training and hands-on support

  • CDA (Child Development Associate) at no cost

  • Ongoing professional development and career pathways

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or GED

  • No professional experience required—we’ll train you!

  • Willing to travel between Kailua and Kneohe locations

  • Reliable and flexible with scheduling

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Enjoys working with young children and building connections

  • Is positive, patient, and nurturing

  • Is dependable and willing to jump in where needed

  • Is open to learning and growing in early childhood education

  • Brings energy and teamwork to every classroom

Schedule

  • Weekday daytime hours only (no evenings or weekends)

  • Flexible schedule based on program needs

  • 20-40 hours per week (meets eligibility requirements for benefits)

  • Work across multiple sites within the Windward area

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive Pay: $18–$20/hour (based on experience)
