Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technician (Float) Kent Apartments
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
weekends or evenings for emergency situations or on-call coverage
The Maintenance Technician is often the single most responsible party for resident retention. Not only does the Maintenance Technician play a key role in the resident's comfort and safety, there often includes more interaction with the residents than any other on-site personnel. It is therefore essential that the Maintenance Technician portray a professional and courteous demeanor while on the job.
This position floats to our Kent Apartment properties and participate in the on-call rotation for four buildings.
Must have the knowledge and ability to perform the following duties:- plumbing repairs
- repair/replace locks
- smoke alarms
- replace screen
- appliance repair
- electrical repair
- roofing inspection/minor roof repair
- change AC filters
- HVAC repairs
- general carpentry work
- replace broken windows
- general maintenance skills
The successful candidate will have:- General maintenance experience required; property management experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and have reliable transportation to use for work.
- Must be able to participate in taking call on a regular basis.
- Must be a team player.
- Must have basic hand tools.
