Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Flexographic or Digital Label Press Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating flexographic and/or digital printing presses, a strong understanding of print quality standards, die cutting, laminating and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain printing presses
- Monitor print quality and make adjustments to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Read and interpret job orders, specifications, and production schedules
- Manage color consistency throughout production runs
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot press equipment issues
- Ensure proper material usage and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience operating flexographic or digital printing presses
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of printing substrates, die cutting, laminating, varnishes, inks, plates, and anilox systems
- Ability to identify and correct print defects
- Experience with digital web printing technology is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime if needed
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with flexographic and/or digital printing systems and workflows
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Basic computer skills for job tracking and reporting
Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a manufacturing/production setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and ink materials. The position requires standing for extended periods and lifting materials as needed. Occasional overtime may be offered.
