Position Summary:
The Quality Control Associate is responsible for performing, monitoring, & recording quality inspections throughout the Digital Imaging & Lettershop departments. This position requires a thorough observation of all processes and a keen attention to detail. This is a non-supervisory position. General job functions are to review and understand the Quality Control Manual, Standard Operating Procedures as they pertain to Quality Control, specific QC instructions outlined in Work Orders, and any customer-specific quality inspection directions. The QC Associate will work as part of a team to efficiently and effectively perform quality control verification on Digital Imaging, Lettershop Machine Inserting, and Lettershop Hand Inserting production jobs. The QC Associate will be required to communicate effectively with department Managers, Team Leaders, and operators to facilitate a safe work environment, high-quality product, and the most efficient production possible. The Quality Control Associate may also be required to communicate with Client Services Representatives and clients regarding quality audits or issues. To consistently demonstrate that the company's core values are carried out through daily operations and customer interactions.
Essential Functions:
- Commitment to continuous professional development aimed at expanding personal growth, which can be applied to enhance job performance.
- Understand the QC specifications associated with each production job.
- Understand all USPS documentation associated with each job.
- Understand all QC training documentation
- Work with Production department managers, Team Leaders, operators & other QCA’s to promote the Quality Control System and resolve any discrepancies in quality of product.
- Responsible for identifying noncompliance or possible process improvements and recording these instances such that corrective action can be taken, both to rectify the immediate situation and to prevent recurrence.
- Verify all QC logs are present before order is run.
- Perform initial sign-off on orders.
- Perform random QC inspections on orders.
- Responsible for proper documentation of Reprint Logs.
- Communicate any non-conformance with the Department Manager &/or Team Leader.
- Organize and prepare pulls for client inspection.
- Perform final QC on order and tag before the job leaves.
- Organize all QC logs, postage audit sheets, and insert reports back to the CSR and file.
- Communicate the QC verification status of jobs to the following shift.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
- A High School Degree, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.
