Job Title: Fleet Technician

• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
We are seeking a Fleet Technician to support a leading aerospace client in Merritt Island, FL. This position provides hands-on support to fleet maintenance and operations teams by assisting with vehicle and equipment upkeep, material handling, inventory support, and general shop operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and willing to support a variety of tasks to help maintain efficient fleet and facility operations.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely move parts, materials, vehicles, and equipment throughout the shop and yard.
• Support fleet mechanics and technicians with general maintenance tasks, including staging parts, retrieving tools, and assisting with vehicle and equipment servicing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, removing debris, and properly disposing of waste and recyclable materials.
• Receive, unload, stock, and organize incoming parts, supplies, and materials.
• Perform basic vehicle and equipment inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and conducting visual inspections.
• Assist with moving and positioning vehicles, trailers, and equipment within the facility.
• Maintain shop tools and equipment, reporting damaged or malfunctioning items to supervisors.
• Support inventory counts and assist with tracking parts, supplies, and consumables.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support fleet, shop, and site operations.
• Experience operating forklifts, aerial equipment, or other material handling equipment.
• Experience supporting fleet mechanics, maintenance technicians, automotive technicians, or similar personnel in a shop, warehouse, or maintenance environment.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support several work activities simultaneously.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
• Ability to work in a shop, warehouse, and outdoor yard environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and fumes.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and operate equipment throughout the workday.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Steel-toe shoes are required.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
