Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $40-$50/hr Flat Rate (open to hybrid structure)
Pay Schedule: Weekly

Position Summary
Promotive is hiring an experienced Fleet Technician / Medium-Duty Truck Technician for a well-established automotive repair shop in Auburn Hills, MI. This is a full-time opportunity for a technician who can handle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on fleet vehicles including F59 chassis, E350 gas units, Sprinter vans, and Transit vans.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles including F59 chassis, E350 gas units, Sprinter vans, Transit vans, and similar medium-duty vehicles
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair work on brakes, suspension, steering, drivability, and electrical systems
- Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to accurately identify issues and recommend proper repairs
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Perform state inspections and ensure work is completed to safety and compliance standards
- Communicate clearly with advisors and team members regarding needed parts, repair timelines, and vehicle status
- Document inspections and repairs using shop management and digital inspection software
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a fleet technician, medium-duty truck technician, or automotive technician with fleet experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working on fleet vehicles, commercial vans, or medium-duty trucks preferred
- Michigan state certifications required
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team environment
- Open to candidates from either dealership or independent shop backgrounds
Compensation & Benefits
- Flat rate pay: $40-$50/hr, depending on experience and certifications
