WTA is hiring for a Fleet Maintenance Manager due to a vacancy. The position is a fulltime salaried position with a salary range of $104,592. - $140,232 yearly. The job posting will close on June 1, 2026 at 9pm. Interviews will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2026.
The Fleet Maintenance Manager supervises the Lead Fleet Maintenance Technicians, Fleet Maintenance Technicians, , Lead Electronic Systems Technician and the Electronic System Technician.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the management and supervision of the fleet maintenance department to ensure the fleet remains in a state of good repair. Plans, organizes, schedules, monitors, and oversees preventative maintenance and quality assurance for all fleet maintenance activities. Supervises assigned staff to ensure consistent adherence to federal, state and WTA policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Duties are performed primarily in an office environment but also require traveling between agency headquarters and transit stations, on routes and to various other locations. Travel is generally within Whatcom County, with occasional trips to regional and national meetings and training courses. Typical office equipment used to accomplish job tasks: computer, cell phone, printer, photocopier/scanner, calculator, and telephone.
