Client Overview:
Our client, a growing transportation and logistics organization, is seeking to add a Fleet Inventory Asset Coordinator to their team. This role supports maintenance operations with a focus on asset tracking, data accuracy, and overall equipment efficiency across a large operational fleet.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$45k - $55k Depending on experience

Position Overview:
The Fleet Inventory Asset Coordinator supports the Director of Maintenance in managing and tracking company assets across the fleet. This role ensures accurate asset data, supports preventative maintenance programs, coordinates lifecycle activities, and assists in maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with maintenance and operations teams as well as external vendors to ensure assets are properly maintained and efficiently utilized.

Responsibilities of the Fleet Inventory Asset Coordinator:
  • Maintain accurate asset records including location, condition, maintenance history, lifecycle data, warranties, and service documentation within CMMS or asset management systems.
  • Support preventive maintenance scheduling, work order tracking, audits, inventories, reconciliations, and capital replacement planning.
  • Generate reports on asset performance, downtime, and maintenance costs while coordinating with vendors for repairs, parts, rentals, and service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal policies while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and additional operational needs.
Required Experience/Skills for the Fleet Inventory Asset Coordinator:
  • 2+ years of experience in asset coordination, maintenance support, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Fleet Inventory Asset Coordinator:
  • Experience in fleet, transportation, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Understanding of asset lifecycle and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
