Manage daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor invoices, customer billing, insurance documentation, reporting, and collections
Process weekly driver payroll and owner-operator settlements accurately and on time
Perform month-end reconciliations, including A/R, credit cards, payables, and fuel cards
Assist with IFTA reporting and support tax preparation activities
Manage receivables, cash application, and support overall cash flow management
Prepare financial reports and support special projects as needed
Qualifications
Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience; trucking or logistics industry experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with accounting software (Concentric and Spend Clarity a plus)
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
Solid understanding of trucking-specific financials, including general ledger accounts, IFTA, fuel cards, and factoring
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on checks and balances and audit trails
Ability to clearly communicate financial information and create reports based on business needs
Strong organizational skills with the ability to re-prioritize daily based on deadlines and special projects
Physical Demands:
This position is primarily office-based.
Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer
Frequent use of hands for data entry and document handling
Occasional standing, walking, bending, or light lifting (up to 15 pounds)
Visual acuity to review financial documents and computer screens
