    Description

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor invoices, customer billing, insurance documentation, reporting, and collections
    • Process weekly driver payroll and owner-operator settlements accurately and on time
    • Perform month-end reconciliations, including A/R, credit cards, payables, and fuel cards
    • Assist with IFTA reporting and support tax preparation activities
    • Manage receivables, cash application, and support overall cash flow management
    • Prepare financial reports and support special projects as needed

    Qualifications
    • Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience; trucking or logistics industry experience strongly preferred
    • Proficiency with accounting software (Concentric and Spend Clarity a plus)
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
    • Solid understanding of trucking-specific financials, including general ledger accounts, IFTA, fuel cards, and factoring
    • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on checks and balances and audit trails
    • Ability to clearly communicate financial information and create reports based on business needs
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to re-prioritize daily based on deadlines and special projects

    Physical Demands:
    • This position is primarily office-based.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer
    • Frequent use of hands for data entry and document handling
    • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or light lifting (up to 15 pounds)
    • Visual acuity to review financial documents and computer screens
