Flag Football Assistant Coach

Job Summary

Hamilton High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our coaching staff as a Flag Football Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. This seasonal position will support the head coach in developing players' skills, promoting teamwork, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting effective practice sessions, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Help organize and execute game strategies, including playcalling and player assignments.
• Provide individual instruction and feedback to players to enhance their performance and understanding of the game.
• Promote a positive team culture by encouraging good sportsmanship, respect, and cooperation among players.
• Monitor players' physical and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during practices and games.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and player progress.
• Assist in the management of team equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is in good condition and readily available for practices and games.
• Attend all scheduled practices, games, and coaching meetings as required.
• Uphold the values and policies of Hamilton High School and the athletic department.

Requirements

• Previous experience playing or coaching flag football or a related sport is preferred.
• Strong understanding of flag football rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and players.
• Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all team members.
• Availability for the entire season, including practices, games, and team events.
• Must pass a fingerprint-based background check and adhere to all school and district policies regarding coaching and youth sports.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but not required at the time of application.
