Managed Service Provider (MSP) Environment

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Level 2a ¬3 Systems & Network Engineer to support and maintain client server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and networking environments. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who thrives in an MSP setting, enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, and is comfortable working across multiple client environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with hyperconverged infrastructure, virtualization platforms, Microsoft endpoint management, and advanced networking support.

Core Responsibilities

Server & Virtualization Support

Administer and support Nutanix hyperconverged environments
Manage and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure
Perform VM provisioning, migrations, optimization, and troubleshooting
Maintain Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, File Services)
Assist with capacity planning and performance tuning

Endpoint & Device Management

Administer and configure Microsoft Intune
Implement MDM/MAM policies
Deploy and manage device compliance policies
Support Autopilot deployments and device lifecycle management
Troubleshoot hybrid Azure AD join issues

Networking & Infrastructure

Support Layer 2/3 networking (VLANs, routing, switching)
Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN
Diagnose connectivity and performance issues
Participate in network upgrades and refresh projects

Escalation & Advanced Troubleshooting

Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation for service desk
Conduct root cause analysis
Document technical resolutions and SOPs
Participate in on-call rotation as required

Project Work

Lead or assist in infrastructure implementations
Perform server migrations and cloud transitions
Support backup and disaster recovery testing
Collaborate with vCIO / TAM on technical roadmaps

Required Qualifications

4+ years of IT infrastructure experience
Prior MSP experience strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with Nutanix and VMware
Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments
Experience managing Microsoft Intune in production
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, routing)
Experience with firewalls and VPN configuration
