This role involves designing fixtures for metal fabrication to ensure quality parts meeting customer specs.
Essential duties include evaluating open fixtures, estimating labor and materials, collaborating with SMEs to produce and validate fixtures, and tracking progress.
Design work utilizes AutoCAD, Pro-E, Creo, and SolidWorks based on GD&T and blueprint requirements, along with instructing tooling usage.
Responsibilities also encompass fixture maintenance, repairs, providing technical support, quoting, and resolving issues with internal teams and vendors.
Maintains customer communication, supports cost analysis, and updates engineering changes.
Qualifications include an associate’s degree or equivalent, with experience in engineering or production, proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and software tools.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and reasoning skills are required, along with physical ability to lift up to 50#.
