Fixed Asset Accounting Analyst
Location Plano, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $58/hour
• Monday–Friday, standard business hours
• Contract - 1 year with possible extension
ROLE IMPACT
The Fixed Asset Accounting Analyst supports accurate accounting, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets and leased assets in compliance with GAAP and company capitalization policies. This individual contributor role ensures clean financial close cycles, reliable asset records, and audit-ready documentation. Success is measured by accuracy in depreciation, reconciliations, and cross-functional coordination across finance and operations.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including asset master data, transfers, releases, disposals, and depreciation schedules
• Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting with variance (flux) analysis
• Record asset acquisitions, capitalization, and lease accounting transactions (ASC 842)
• Assist with quarterly and annual asset confirmation activities
• Partner with finance, procurement, IT, and operations to ensure proper tagging, tracking, and capital expenditure alignment
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 3–7 years of overall accounting experience
• At least 1 year of fixed asset and/or lease accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Fixed asset accounting systems and capitalization workflows
• Lease accounting administration (ASC 842)
• Journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting support
• Asset lifecycle management (acquisition, depreciation, transfer, disposal)
• Audit support and documentation management
Preferred Skills
• SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience
• CPA or public accounting background
• Automotive industry experience
