This position is approx 2 hours a week with room to grow.

• Ideal availability would be (not all, but within) Mon-Fri / 9a-2p

Founded in 1998, FOX was the FIRST private practice in the country to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population. The Fitness Specialist opportunity entails the following:

• Patient continuity: Patients are prescribed exercise programs to maintain functional levels after discharge from rehabilitation services.
• Excellent support system: Fox provides significant support for our Fitness Specialists through leadership, clinical education, and an assigned Program Manager.

Requirements:

• Must have one of the following:
• Bachelors in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology;
• Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred (i.e., ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA); or
• Prior experience as a fitness trainer, with willingness to become a Certified Personal Trainer.
• Routine travel to patient residences and between Senior Living Communities. Expand territory as needed.
• Travel as needed per practice requirements.
• CPR Certification
• Previous experience working with older adults in a proactive and wellness setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

In New York, the standard base pay range for this role is $19.25 - $27.75 an hour with an opportunity to earn more.
