Position Purpose / Important Application Information The Fitness Instructor - Aquatics is responsible for providing instruction to participants of various ages and abilities for water fitness classes. Recreation staff have the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety of program participants. The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate.

Physical Requirements Work performed is physical in nature and involves sufficient physical strength and stamina for:
Working Conditions Frequent exposure to pool water. Occasional lifting up to seventy-five (75) pounds and the possible lifting of an injured individual. Frequent exposure to noise levels that may cause distractions. High public contact position requiring adequate spoken interaction with the public and pool guests. Ability to work in a high humidity and heat environment for long periods.
