About the Opportunity
Join AIT Home Delivery as an independent contractor bringing white-glove care to the final delivery, assembly, and repair of consumer goods for premium brands. Each day, you’ll represent AIT in customer homes across the San Antonio area, solving problems and restoring products to peak performance.
A day in the life
Morning starts with route planning and parts check. You arrive on-site, greet the customer, review the symptom, and then evaluate, troubleshoot, analyze, identify, and repair the issue. In the afternoon, you might assemble a smart home gym, calibrate a treadmill, or diagnose a wine cooler—always closing the visit with a clean workspace, clear communication, and a satisfied customer.
What you’ll work on
- Repair and assembly for fitness bikes, treadmills, smart home gym systems, massage chairs, wine coolers, and similar products.
- In-home diagnostics, part swaps, adjustments, and functional testing to manufacturer specifications.
- Professional customer care for clientele purchasing from high-end companies.
What you bring
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturer manuals, schematics, and instructions.
- Your own reliable transportation to and from each service location.
- Ownership of the necessary hand and power tools, plus mechanical aptitude to build to spec.
- Business readiness: an EIN (federal tax ID) — obtainable at irs.gov at no cost.
- Compliance with insurance and vehicle registration requirements; adherence to all applicable state vehicle laws.
- Awareness that DOT/MC numbers may be required for equipment with GVWR over 10,000 lbs.
- Tech savvy with a mobile phone for job updates and documentation, along with excellent communication skills.
- A service mindset and dedication to exceptional customer experience.
