Job Description We're currently searching for a Fitness Coordinator to join our Recreational Sports team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. Required Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, Recreation or Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field • Minimum of one (1) certification in group exercise and/or personal training as recognized by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Accepted certifications include proctored exams from: ACSM, ACE, NSCA, NASM, or other meeting the NCCA criteria • First Aid & CPR/AED Certifications • Demonstrated management experience of a comprehensive fitness program (relative GA experience will be considered)
Preferred Qualifications • Masters degree in Exercise Science, Recreation or Sports Management, Physical Education, Public Health or related field • American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor Certification • Two or more specialty certifications such as: F45, Les Mills, USAW, CSCS, 200-RYT, Schwinn, ACE Specialty Certificate • Experience with Pilates Reformers • Demonstrated experience in supervising, leading, and evaluating fitness program staff • Knowledge and ability to effectively use technology systems that support fitness program management and sales. • Familiarity with Innosoft Fusion, Microsoft Suite (especially Teams), Google Drive.
Overtime Status Exempt: Not eligible for overtime

Salary Information $52,000 - $55,000
Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
