Fitness Attendant/Fitness Monitor

BallenIsles Country Club, located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Fitness Attendant/Fitness Monitor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$16.00 per hour.

Summary:

Responsibilities include greeting members and assisting with fitness center needs, answering phones and member inquiries, scheduling training and other appointments, performing minor custodial duties such as wiping fitness equipment, and performing opening and closing duties as needed. We are only seeking local candidates.

Essential Duties:

• Greet guests upon arrival and departure to the fitness center
• Check member identification card and validate guest participation
• Sign in members and guests, advising them of rules and procedures of the fitness center
• Report safety concerns to supervisor
• Adjust music and/or television equipment as needed
• Perform minor custodial duties to include wiping down machines, picking up discarded items, emptying trash, and restocking towels
• Help keep fitness center neat and tidy
• Perform opening and closing duties at fitness center as required
• Answer phones and guest inquiries; schedule personal training sessions
• Assist the Health & Wellness Director and provide basic instruction to equipment users
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Regular, flexible and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• Must possess familiarity and understanding of fitness equipment

• Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job

• Must be member service-oriented and possess a professional manner

• Must have basic computer knowledge

• CPR Certification preferred

• Interest in fitness required

• Previous experience preferred
