The mission of the Idaho Industrial Commission is to fairly administer the Idaho Workers' Compensation Law

The Industrial Commission's Fiscal team is seeking a Fiscal Support Specialist (Technical Records Specialist 1) to perform a variety of support duties for the Fiscal Department that are essential in supporting the Commission in carrying out its mission.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

  • Process department mail
  • Collect monthly photocopier logs and vehicle travel logs submitted by the main office and field offices, reconcile for accuracy, and enter data into the appropriate electronic spreadsheets
  • Maintain digital records, including filing of digital records and maintaining shared spreadsheets
  • Deliver daily bank deposits
  • Assist Fiscal staff with filing, scanning, digitizing, and maintaining records in compliance with State's Records Retention policies
  • Make travel arrangements for Commission employees
  • Track, record and follow up on completion of approved employee training requests
  • Act as backup for and assist in reconciling and verifying Commission P-Card transactions
  • Provide backup and assistance for the Senior Buyer by receiving packages, processing purchase orders, stocking supplies, and performing annual inventory reviews
  • Assist in planning and facilitating agency training programs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Typically met by at least six months of experience in each of the following areas:

  • Monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors
  • Researching a variety of sources to resolve problems
  • Interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Storing, entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Communicating both orally and in writing in a professional capacity
  • Working both independently and in a team setting
  • Valid driver's license
