Position Summary:

The Fiscal Support Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of fiscal related tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned department or program and for researching financial data and preparing reports. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Makes travel arrangements for Dean and Associate Dean

  • Reviews and verifies all travel authorizations.

  • Reviews and audits all travel and department card statements including individual travel reports logged on department cards and various individual faculty travel cards.

  • Reviews and verifies Pcard statements monthly to ensure compliance with university policies

  • Initiates and receives all requisitions for technology purchases and infrastructure purchases for the college

  • Initiates all requisitions for the Dean's Office

  • Processes budget transfers

  • Processes distribution of professional development funds

  • Develops reports requested by AAR for the college:

  • Technology Spending Report

  • Infrastructure Spending Report

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of accounting principals and database management, software applications, applicable laws, regulations, and policies of assigned section, and customer service techniques

Ability to comprehend and assimilate technical and business related documents, apply policies and procedures and other applicable regulations associated with assigned department or program, and conduct research, perform quantitative quality assurance reviews, and prepare reports

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of an earned Bachelor''s Degree in general business, finance, or a related field

Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
