Position at Community Options, Inc.

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
We are now hiring a Fiscal Liaison in Nashville, TN. The Fiscal Liaison is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the assigned region. This person will ensure staff are trained in the appropriate use and documentation of finances for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities.
Starting pay is $22.00/ per hour
Responsibilities
  • Maintain financial information and expenditures for each location including the use of petty cash, gas, and grocery card accounts
  • Provide training on the finances of individuals in our care, including proper safeguarding of funds, appropriate expenditures, and required documentation
  • Collect and document expenditure receipts for all locations in a timely manner
  • Submit receipts and expenditure reports monthly to the National office
  • Maintain information for all company vehicles including registrations and vehicle maintenance records
  •  Review and processes vehicle maintenance requests and maintain records
  • Audit relevant accounts when an employee with financial responsibility terminates employment
  • Troubleshoot issues pertaining to accounts payable, petty cash, and cash disbursements
  • Provide technical assistance to the local offices related to budgetary matters
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
  • Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED with three years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suites
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
