SUMMARYOffice of Workplace Management and Business Continuity (WMBC) ensures seamless operational continuity by optimizing facility performance, driving strategic workplace transformation, and delivering comprehensive support services to maintain a dynamic, future‑ready environment aligned with NATO Headquarters (HQ) and its alternate locations. The incumbent is responsible for the repair, preventive and reactive maintenance, inspection of electrical installations, and for inspecting works performed by external maintenance firms to ensure compliance with standard methods, materials and contract specifications.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCECertified to a secondary technical education level in electrical or electromechanical engineering or possess an equivalent diploma/certification with a BA5 certification (electrical safety for qualified staff).At least 6years' experience in the maintenance of technical electrical installations on complex and large‑scale sites such as office or industrial buildings.Very good understanding of electrical systems such as emergency generators, high and low voltage electrical systems, UPS and Passive Network Infrastructure (PNWI).Valid driver's licence.Required minimum levels of NATO's official languages (English/French): Advanced in one language and Elementary in the other.Additional advantages:Knowledge of the rules and procedures of the host country (RGPT/ARAB – RGIE/AREI).Ability to program DALI and KNX systems.Ability to use Autocad suite.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIESPlanning and Execution. Assist and carry out repair, installation, maintenance or modification work on NATO's electrical systems and networks. Support on‑demand requests or high‑level events (e.g., Ministerial) even outside standard office hours.Expertise Development. Assist the Foreperson Electricity in supervising work carried out by external contractors and, when required, substitute for the Foreperson Electricity in their absence.Project Management. Ensure electrical system repairs. Conduct work as part of a team of First Line Intervention Technicians and Forepeople. Deal primarily with high voltage electrical installations, including the high voltage network, transformers, distribution network, electrical board, power‑enduring machines, wall power‑outlets, lighting and PNWI. Conduct inspections and surveillance of electrical power systems. Draft basic incident reports.
