Position Summary:

Coordinates primary health planning for patients in collaboration with physicians and hospital personnel. Assess general health status of patients by providing history and physical examinations, and monitoring of appropriate laboratory and radiographic studies. Acts as a liaison between patient, family members, hospital staff and physicians. Serves as a clinical resource to staff, providing education to enhance patient outcomes.

Position Qualification:

  • Minimum of one (2) year clinical experience as Physician Assistant preferred.
  • Demonstrates to teach adult learner at all levels.
  • Excellent physical assessment skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Previous Cardiovascular experience preferred.
  • Positive affect, demonstrated leadership and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Holds current Florida Physician Assistant license.
  • Completion of Physician Assistant program required.
  • NACPA or FAPA membership preferred
  • Holds current BLS certification.
  • Holds current ACLS certification

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
  • Ability to write legibly (Clinical Areas).
  • Additional languages desirable.

Must clear background and drug test required.
