Hring Embedded Firmware Engineer in San Diego, CA to develop and optimize embedded firmware and FPGA logic for camera-based real-time systems. This role combines embedded firmware, FPGA work, and performance optimization.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with hardware, system architects, and application developers to integrate your firmware into the full product
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions for new product features
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and test firmware to ensure reliability and speed
  • Mentor junior engineers and help guide best practices in real-time embedded design

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience in embedded systems
  • Strong skills in bare metal / real-time C/C development
  • Hands-on experience working with:
    • FPGA
    • DDR
    • Flash memory
    • I2C, SPI
    • RTOS
    • LVDS
  • Ability to design for high-speed, low-latency performance
  • Strong debugging skills, including JTAG
  • Solid understanding of real-time constraints (latency, timing, throughput)
