Firewall Engineer

Role: Firewall Engineer
Duration of the Contract : 1+ years

Location: 5 days On-Site in Sterling, VA

Interview Process: 2 video interviews

Functional Duties:

The Sr. Firewall Engineer should be able to:

" Design and implement firewall solutions for our network infrastructure

" Document firewall infrastructure and support playbooks

" Maintain and optimize firewall components

Daily Responsibilities:

" Experience building and deploying Cisco firepower next gen firewall from the ground up

" Ability to build high availability set up on firewalls

" Ability to support multiple tenant separation using Next Gen firewalls

" Experience configuring advanced firewall feature sets (e.g., application security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP))

" Experience building complex firewall rule sets

" Conduct firewall environment analysis and resolve inefficiencies on the network.

" Perform day to day firewall maintenance which includes configuring, installing, and troubleshooting.

" Monitor network and firewall performance and troubleshoot problems and outages.

" Schedule and perform upgrades to firewalls
