Job Summary Job Summary The purpose of the Firefighting Technology Instructor is to perform under general supervision to supervise and instruct students in assigned areas of vocational training and career development to establish and maintain an orderly safe and well-disciplined classroom learning environment and to perform other job-related duties as assigned. Current Resume Three (3) professional letters of recommendation Must be dated within the past year. Please note recommendation letters from co-workers family friends or community letters will not meet the requirements for professional recommendation letters. Copies of college transcripts and/or high school diploma

EXPERIENCE Three (3) years of work experience in the technical skills trade or vocations to be taught are required. One (1) of the three (3) years of the required experience must be within the last five (5) years or two (2) years within the last ten (10) years.

EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree highly desirable.

CREDENTIALS CERTIFICATES LICENSES Possession of or ability to obtain prior to employment a valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching or Vocational Credential for the subject to be taught is required. Refer to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov for Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credentials. You must apply for annual waiver while completing University credentialing program of study until CTEL certification or EL equivalent is obtained through clear credential. You must provide copies of credentials as required for the position or provide evidence of qualifying for required credential with your application materials.
