    Description

    Location: On-site – Littleton, MA

    Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

    Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience, certifications, and qualifications + annual performance bonus potential

    Reports To: Operations Manager

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Manager to lead and grow the fire protection division. This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for the full lifecycle of sprinkler work, from installation and service to inspection, testing, and maintenance across a diverse customer portfolio throughout New England. The ideal candidate is a licensed, field-experienced leader who can manage a team of technicians, drive customer satisfaction, maintain code compliance, and contribute to the continued growth of a thriving sprinkler business line.

    What You’ll Do

    Operations & Field Management

    •      Oversee day-to-day operations of the sprinkler division, including installation, inspection, testing, service, and repair of water-based fire protection systems

    •      Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate field technicians and sprinkler fitters to ensure efficient execution of all work orders and projects

    •      Conduct site visits, field checks, and quality assurance reviews to verify workmanship and code compliance

    •      Manage labor allocation, subcontractors, and material procurement to meet project timelines and budgets

    •      Respond to emergency service requests and oversee timely resolution of system deficiencies

    Code Compliance & Technical Oversight

    •      Ensure all work is performed in accordance with NFPA 13, 14, 20, 25, Massachusetts state fire codes, and applicable AHJ requirements

    •      Review project drawings, hydraulic calculations, and specifications for accuracy and code compliance

    •      Serve as the technical authority for the sprinkler division, troubleshooting complex system issues and providing guidance to field staff

    •      Coordinate AHJ inspections, permit submissions, and system acceptance testing

    •      Stay current with changes to NFPA standards, state codes, and manufacturer requirements

    Team Leadership & Development

    •      Train, mentor, and manage a team of licensed fire sprinkler service technicians

    •      Conduct performance reviews and support career development, including NICET certification pursuit

    •      Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies on all job sites

    •      Partner with HR on workforce planning, onboarding, and employee relations within the division

    Customer & Business Development

    •      Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, property managers, and engineers throughout the life of each project

    •      Build and maintain strong client relationships that support recurring service agreements, inspections, and additional project work

    •      Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to support proposals, scope reviews, and bid development

    •      Monitor division revenue, gross margin, and profitability, reporting results to operations leadership



    Requirements

    What We’re Looking For


    •      Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Sprinkler Fitter License in good standing

    •      10+ years of experience in fire sprinkler installation, service, and inspection, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role

    •      Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 25, and experience coordinating with AHJs and fire marshals in Massachusetts and New England

    •      Demonstrated ability to manage field crews, schedules, subcontractors, and project budgets simultaneously

    •      Solid understanding of hydraulic calculations, system design fundamentals, and blueprint reading

    •      Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel throughout the New England service area

    Preferred

    •      NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout or Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems

    •      OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

    •      Experience with both union and non-union workforces in a fire protection environment

    •      Familiarity with service management platforms, scheduling software, or ERP systems used in field service operations

    •      Experience with sprinkler design software (HydraCAD, AutoCAD, or similar)

    •      Background in a PE-backed or growth-stage fire protection company
