Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead crews performing industrial fire sprinkler system installations, repairs, and inspections
- Install, modify, and service large-scale systems including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and ESFR systems
- Install, modify, and service underground fire water systems and components.
- Read and interpret industrial blueprints, P&IDs, and fire protection drawings
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, local AHJ requirements, and customer specifications.
- Perform system testing, flushing, hydrostatic testing, and final inspections
- Troubleshoot system deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions
- Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor productivity
- Coordinate with plant managers, safety personnel, inspectors, and other trades
- Enforce site-specific safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies
- Maintain accurate documentation, inspection reports, and as-built drawings
- Manage tools, materials, lifts, and equipment required for industrial job sites
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial fire sprinkler installation and service
- Proven experience in a foreman or lead position
- Strong knowledge of industrial fire protection systems and high-hazard occupancies
- Ability to read complex drawings and perform system layout
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and other applicable fire codes
- Experience working in active industrial facilities and shutdown environments
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to pass a background check
Certifications (Preferred or Required)
- NICET Level II in ITM of Water Based Systems (preferred/required)
- State sprinkler inspector license - Texas and/or Louisiana
- OSHA 30 strongly preferred
- Confined Space, Lift, or Industrial Safety training a plus
- TWIC card
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights, on lifts, and around industrial machinery
- Ability to work in hot, cold, or noisy environments
- Willingness to work off-shifts, shutdowns, or overtime as required
