Now Hiring: Traveling Fire Alarm Technicians – Texas Licensed
$30–$50/hr | Full-Time | Traveling in the State of Texas

We’re looking for Texas-licensed Fire Alarm Technicians to join our growing team, working on commercial fire alarm installations, repairs, and upgrades across the state. This role offers competitive pay based on experience and qualifications, plus travel perks while you work on high-profile projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install, repair, and upgrade fire alarm systems following blueprints, site maps, and electrical layouts

  • Program and configure fire alarm control panels

  • Mount sensors and devices in proper locations, including working in crawlspaces and attics

  • Run and terminate low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings (including conduit work and drilling through concrete)

  • Ensure all installations meet NFPA standards (NFPA 70 & 72), electrical codes, and fire codes

  • Test new systems and troubleshoot issues to ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal requirements

  • Work with burglar alarms, access control, and CCTV systems (preferred)

  • Troubleshoot network equipment including switches, Wi-Fi, and routers

  • Operate boom lifts and scissor lifts to perform work at heights


What You Need:

  • Current Texas State Fire/Alarm License (TX DPS)

  • Valid state-required Physical Security and/or Life Safety license for applicable technology

  • Strong understanding of NFPA 70 & NFPA 72 standards

  • Experience reading blueprints and site maps

  • Fire alarm, burglar alarm, access control, and CCTV experience preferred

  • Certification to operate boom and scissor lifts

  • Basic telecom tools, PPE, and reliable insured transportation

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 3 years)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to pass background check and drug test


Travel Info:

  • Travel throughout Texas (regional assignments)

  • Lodging covered + per diem

  • Mileage and drive time reimbursed

  • Company vehicle available after probation

  • Travel home covered after extended assignments


Pay & Schedule:

  • $30–$50/hour, based on experience and qualifications

  • Full-time schedule with overtime opportunities

  • Flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed
