Role Snapshot

  • Location: Onsite — Farmington Hills, MI 48335
  • Schedule: 2nd shift, 3:00–11:00 p.m.
  • Position Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)

What you’ll do

  • Set up production equipment; perform upkeep and troubleshooting to maintain peak efficiency.
  • Run machinery in the assigned department as needed to meet throughput and takt time.
  • Inspect materials, in-process work, finished parts, and equipment condition to uphold quality standards.
  • Drive small, continuous improvements that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Track area performance and help ensure output meets target levels.
  • Coach teammates on standard work, policies, and best practices to improve the process.
  • Complete production and maintenance documentation fully and accurately.
  • Maintain a 5S work environment—organized, clean, and audit-ready.
  • Comply with all Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • Work effectively with limited supervision; take initiative and prioritize well.
  • Resolve complex issues independently; escalate only the most challenging problems.
  • Comprehensive, hands-on knowledge of machinery operation and basic maintenance.
  • 1+ years’ experience, including operating powered industrial equipment.
  • Ability to provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
  • Powered industrial equipment certification preferred.
