  • Process Optimization: Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for powder coating and pretreatment lines.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and perform inspections on finished goods; troubleshoot and resolve defects such as orange peel, adhesion failure, flaking, or improper cure.

  • Chemical & Material Control: Maintain pretreatment chemical concentrations through routine titration and monitor powder paint storage and inventory levels.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all wastewater documentation and environmental regulatory requirements are compliant with city and state regulations; maintain strict adherence to OSHA standards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to increase throughput, reduce defects, and minimize material waste.

  • Vendor Relations: Partner with chemical and powder vendors to optimize product performance for specific manufacturing applications.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a finishing or manufacturing engineering role with a proven track record of process improvement.

  • Technical Skills: * Deep understanding of powder application systems (booths, spray guns), cure ovens, and wash systems.

    • Proficiency in chemical titration and pretreatment process control.

    • Strong root-cause analysis skills regarding paint and finish defects.
