Finished Goods Operator – 1st Shift
Hours: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
 

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finished Goods Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining finished goods manufacturing equipment, ensuring the accurate handling, packaging, and labeling of products. You will play a vital part in maintaining safety, quality, and production standards by adhering to company policies and work instructions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely set up and operate assigned machinery according to work instructions and production schedules.
  • Select and load raw materials or reels onto equipment, ensuring correct specifications as per work orders.
  • Adjust machine controls to optimize production quality and efficiency, monitoring operation throughout the shift.
  • Conduct quality inspections on materials before, during, and after processing to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Choose appropriate packaging materials and generate labels as specified in work orders.
  • Document production and quality data accurately in both paper and digital systems.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and notify supervisors or maintenance teams of malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning machinery and disposing of waste properly.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, glasses, and hearing protection.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to resolve production issues promptly.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Ability to interpret work orders, schedules, and work instructions with accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills to input data and access production information.
  • Capable of handling materials and operating machinery safely.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and proper packaging.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manufacturing variables.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and verifying product parameters (e.g., diameter, wall thickness, length).
  • Prior machine operation experience preferred, especially in material handling or manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and perform tasks over long periods.
  • Physical strength to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds, including drums, reels, carts, and pallets.
  • Willingness and ability to wear PPE consistently during shift hours.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions as needed.

  • 2nd Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
