Effectively manage the learning environment by preparing lesson plans, instructing students, and monitoring performance to enhance student achievement.

Minimum Requirements: Arizona Elementary, Middle Grades, or Secondary Certificate with approved area in Music or Art, or a K-12 endorsement; or an Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 in Music or Art; or an Arizona Arts Education - (Music or Art) PreK-12 Certificate; plus a current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Preferred Requirements: Success engaging African American and Latino students; bilingual (Spanish) endorsement.
Additional post-hire requirement: Proof of immunity or MMR immunization for rubeola and rubella.
Position effective for the 2026-2027 school year, located at Wakefield Middle School. FTE is 1.0 (7.5 hours/day), with a 9.5-month work calendar. Positions under 30 hours/week are ineligible for benefits. Salary is prorated if starting after the first day. Internal candidates will transfer at their bargaining unit rate. Probationary contracts apply for certain certifications and first-year employees.
