The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2026. The full salary range, including longevity pay, is $23.96 - $32.96 per hour.
This position is part of the Civil Service Basic Unit Employees Collective Bargaining Agreement represented by Council 5 of AFSCME.

Distinguishing Features of Work
An employee in this class is responsible for administering and authorizing the accurate disbursement of Federal, State and County funds for public assistance programs. Duties include: Interviewing clients, verifying information, entering and maintaining client information on applicable computer systems, and assessing and referring clients to outside agencies and programs when appropriate. The work is performed in accordance with State, Federal and County guidelines and procedures under the supervision of a unit supervisor.
Work Environment
These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position being filled. CONSTANT: Sedentary, indoor work; sit; use fingers; contact with the public/clients. OCCASIONAL: Lift up to 10 pounds; use of general office equipment which may include telephone, personal computer, calculator, etc.
