Position summary
Serve as Finance’s functional owner and strategic enablement lead for the Oracle Cloud EPM platform, guiding design, governance, administration, and continuous optimization.
Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and external partners to ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and efficient execution of planning, consolidation, and reporting processes.
Balance hands-on system expertise with stakeholder influence to advance driver-based planning, scenario modeling, integrated reporting, automation, and governance.
Key responsibilities
EPM system management & support
Administer and maintain Oracle Cloud EPM modules (Planning, FCCS, EDMCS, Account Reconciliation, Narrative Reporting and related components).
Serve as Finance product owner for Oracle EPM: translate business needs into scalable system-enabled processes and maintain alignment between finance process design and system capabilities.
Manage user access, security frameworks, and role-based permissions.
Perform system configurations, metadata management, and environment migrations (Dev/Test/Prod).
Monitor system performance, diagnose and resolve issues, and coordinate with Oracle support as required.
Lead business testing and validation for quarterly releases, EPM patches, and ecosystem changes.
Develop and deliver end-user training, process documentation, administrator runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Financial planning, consolidation & reporting (business process owner)
Own functional enablement of budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, scenario modeling, and management reporting within EPM.
Ensure accurate consolidation processes and provide financial close support using FCCS.
Lead evolution of reporting, dashboarding, and management reporting to reduce manual effort and improve timeliness and transparency.
Validate and reconcile data integrations between ERP (Oracle Fusion Financials) and EPM.
Data integration & automation
Own functional integrity of finance data flows across Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, legacy planning platforms, and downstream reporting tools.
Manage mappings, validations, reconciliations, exception handling, and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and auditability.
Identify and implement automation to reduce manual processes and improve data quality.
Governance, controls & audit readiness
Establish and enforce system governance standards, documentation, and change-control processes.
Maintain audit-ready documentation, including process flows, system controls, and user access logs.
Support internal and external audit inquiries related to financial systems and controls.
Continuous improvement & transformation
Partner with Finance leadership to define the EPM roadmap, prioritize enhancements, and evaluate business value.
Lead or support EPM upgrades, patches, and new module implementations.
Drive adoption of best practices and standardization across finance functions.
Cross-functional collaboration
Act as liaison between Finance, IT, and third-party implementation partners to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Support training and end-user enablement efforts and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption.
Perform other duties related to EPM enablement and finance process improvement as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of progressive experience supporting financial systems, with demonstrable Oracle EPM functional expertise.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud EPM modules, including Planning, FCCS, EDMCS, Narrative Reporting, business rules, security roles, metadata management, and environment migrations.
Experience with data integration tools and processes (FDMEE/Data Management, APIs) and validating mappings and payloads.
Strong understanding of financial planning processes: annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario modeling, driver-based planning, and workforce planning.
Familiarity with Oracle Fusion ERP (GL, Financials) preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting/BI tools; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and to work independently and collaboratively across stakeholders.
