Financial Systems Administrator (Atlanta: Full-time/Hybrid) Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Systems Administrator to join our team. In this essential role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our services, directly supporting our attorneys in delivering exceptional client service and upholding our commitment to excellence. The Financial Systems Administrator provides support and will enhance the firms Aderant financial systems environment in a multi-office law firm supporting approximately 1,500 users. This role is primarily responsible for the administration, performance, and reliability of the firms financial systems platform, including Aderant and related financial applications, as well as the SQL Server infrastructure supporting those systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience supporting Aderant in a law firm or professional services environment, combined with strong SQL Server knowledge and a solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure. This position works closely with accounting, applications, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure the stability of the firms financial systems. While the role is focused on financial platforms, the administrator may contribute to broader system troubleshooting and database support when issues intersect with server infrastructure or enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Financial Systems Administration Administer and support the firms Aderant practice management system and related financial applications. Maintain and troubleshoot supporting platforms including ARCS3, Prebill Viewer, Chrome River, Expert Image, Expert Time, Intapp Open, and BillBlast. Monitor system health and performance of the financial systems environment. Assist with system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes related to financial applications. Work closely with accounting and finance teams to support billing, prebilling, expense management, collections, and reporting processes. Diagnose and resolve complex issues impacting financial system functionality, performance, or integrations. Maintain integrations between financial systems and other firm platforms. SQL Server & Database Support Maintain and support SQL Server environments supporting financial systems. Perform database troubleshooting, query analysis, and performance tuning. Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and data extracts as needed. Assist with database maintenance tasks including indexing, integrity checks, and monitoring. Support high availability or redundancy configurations, backup strategies, and recovery procedures for financial databases. Systems & Infrastructure Collaboration Work with infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues involving: Windows Server environments Active Directory authentication and permissions DFS file systems supporting financial applications Virtualization platforms (Nutanix or similar) Network connectivity affecting application performance Provide escalation-level support to the Service Desk and Applications teams for complex financial systems issues. Cross-Platform Systems Support Assist with troubleshooting enterprise applications where database or server infrastructure intersects with application performance. Provide additional SQL expertise across other enterprise systems when needed. Participate in system improvement initiatives and automation opportunities. Documentation & Operational Excellence Maintain clear documentation for system architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures. Develop knowledgebase articles and operational documentation. Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing related to financial systems. Participate in maintaining system reliability, performance monitoring, and operational best practices. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise financial or accounting systems. Bachelors degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Aderant (strongly preferred) or similar legal practice management platforms. Microsoft SQL administration (strongly preferred): Server administration, Troubleshooting experience, Query optimization, Performance tuning, Database maintenance plans. Experience supporting financial systems within a law firm or professional services organization strongly preferred. Infrastructure: Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory authentication and permissions, DFS file services, Virtualization platforms such as Nutanix, VMware, Enterprise server environments and resource allocation. Network fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, connectivity troubleshooting). Proven ability to troubleshoot issues across applications, databases, and server layers.
