Job Description
We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team in a full-time, in-office capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in US GAAP and SEC reporting, data quality controls, and analytical problem solving and a proven ability to produce accurate reports, investigate data issues, and communicate results and risks to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial reports in compliance with US GAAP, SEC, and other reporting requirements.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation and assess reporting inputs from functional areas and service providers.
- Draft financial statement footnotes and related disclosures.
- Support implementation and compliance with new and proposed accounting and reporting standards.
- Complete account reconciliations for complex accounting areas.
- Produce and validate firmwide and line-of-business market risk reports.
- Investigate data breaks and issues with partner teams and drive remediation.
- Communicate results, risks, and process improvements to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial statement preparation.
- Data quality and controls mindset with attention to detail.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with experience reconciling complex accounts.
- Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel for analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
- 1-3 years of relevant financial reporting or accounting experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Alteryx and Tableau.
- Exposure to market risk reporting or financial services environments.
Work Arrangement:
- In-office, full time in Tempe, AZ.
- Schedule may include occasional early meetings or evening reporting cycles.
