Role Snapshot
Join our Finance team to manage and support the general ledger for all programs across the organization. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll apply both governmental and corporate accounting experience to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting, oversee month-end close, and drive data integrity across systems including QuickBooks and customized accounting software.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and consolidated financial statements; execute a tight month-end close.
- Maintain GL accuracy through monthly account analysis, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
- Continuously improve processes and reporting using best-practice models.
- Conduct program plan analysis with profitability, cost-benefit, and resource forecasting.
- Provide analytical reviews for the Director of Finance and Owner Partners.
- Assist with accounting integrations related to acquisitions.
- Collaborate with reporting, budgeting, and forecasting teams; align deliverables and adjust as needed.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards; partner with our CPA on GAAP research.
- Review and reconcile AR for governmental clients.
Operating Rhythm
- Perform complex financial data entry in QuickBooks Ledger and our customized systems.
- Support payroll-related postings and required reporting.
- Create, analyze, reconcile, and maintain comprehensive financial information.
Partnerships & Reporting Lines
This position reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with the Director of Finance, Owner Partners, and cross-functional reporting, budgeting, and forecasting teams, as well as an external CPA for GAAP research.

Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced understanding of modern accounting practices and procedures; GAAP literacy.
- Independent, self-directed work style with strong time management.
- Proven effectiveness in cross-functional, matrix-managed environments.
- Sound business decision-making with minimal supervision.
- Accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in financial reporting and analysis.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Experience with enterprise accounting software; QuickBooks proficiency.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; or 3–5 years of related experience.
- Experience partnering with Executive and Senior Management.
- Leadership ability to motivate diverse teams.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and activities.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Tools
- QuickBooks Ledger and customized accounting platforms.
- Microsoft Excel and Word.
Work Environment
- Typical office hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.
- Minimal travel.
