TITLE: Financal Manager

Job Goal:
Assist in the daily operation of the Risk Assessment department by demonstrating sound financial acument in the area of student activity fund support. Performs a variety of daily accounting and compliance related transactions including but not limited to: approval and disbursement of cash receipts, check requests, journal entries, assistance with student fees, fundraiser support, banking needs & treasurer training. Under supervision of the Director of Risk, serves as main point of contact for day to day, cash management procedures. Facilitates a close working relationship between treasurers & other Central Office departments. Ideal candidate possesses a strong apititude for mathematics, is a self-starter, flexible team player with excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Must possess comfort with various technology platforms, capable of maintaining confidentiality, strong problem solving skills and the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Serves as day to day contact for treasurers related to student activity funds.
? Manages cash receipts, disbursements, transfers, sales tax reporting, audit documentation & month end reconciliation
? Conducts student activity related training for new & existing treasurers
? Acts as substitute treasurer during vacancies to ensure efficient operation of student
activity funds meets building needs
? Coordinates school banking needs and quarterly treasurer meetings
? Conducts periodic, on-site school visits to review treasurer bookkeeping. Maintains ongoing feedback to Director of Risk.
? Monitors and escalates compliance related matters to Director of Risk, in accordance with standard operating procedures
? Assists Director of Risk with internal audits
? Maintains Student Activity Manual
? Other duties as assigned

Maintains proactive communication between Treasurers & Director of Risk to meet the educational and extra-curricular needs of students.
Utilizes existing technology, reporting and accounting systems effectively in the
performance of his or her duties. Performs other related work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 6 years financial, business or banking experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge of and in compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
Excellent financial acumen with investigative, critical thinking skills.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Deadline driven. Willingness to put in the extra hours when needed.
Strong ability in project management
Must have reliable transportation
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint is required.
Knowledge of Business Plus & Infinite Campus systems is a plus
Flexibility and aptitude for new technology
Maintaining a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality is expected of this
position
